Hi! I'm Melanie.

Thank you. Truly, thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I already like you and can't wait to meet you. Here's just a little bit about me, my life, and why I do what I do.

A native of Marietta, I now live in Belpre, Ohio with my husband, Ethan, and my children, Ruby and Forest. I'm a calm spirit and an aching soul saved by Grace. I'm a girl who dreamed of being a writer but found that photographing God's handiwork captivated me more. I strive to find beauty in all situations, even in the impossibly hard ones. I've been in some of those moments. I've watched friends and family go through them. But, I've also been witness to the undeniably beautiful moments, and I've become enamored by capturing them so I can remember and you can remember and we can all remember that we can shine in this life. We can radiate beauty and peace and power and sweetness all in their seasons.

I want to put your beauty before you, plain to see, whether that's the sweet, sleeping face of your newborn babe or you dancing in a field surrounded by your family or you taking vows before God or your family celebrating years and years of your parents' love for each other. We need reminders of the beauty in this life, and I'm in love with documenting those reminders for us all.
